Illegal LPG refilling unit raided

One arrested, four domestic LPG cylinders, Rs.2,010 cash, refilling equipment seized

Mysuru: City Crime Branch (CCB) Police, along with the officials of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, who raided a house on Ashoka Road, 23rd West Cross in Lashkar Mohalla where illegal LPG refilling was taking place, have arrested one person besides seizing domestic LPG cylinders, cash and refilling equipment from the place.

The arrested person is 32-year-old Umar Shariff of Lashkar Mohalla. Acting of a tip off, the CCB Police and the officials of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, raided the place, arrested the accused and seized three domestic LPG cylinders, one small LPG cylinder, Rs.2,010 cash and refilling equipment from the place. A case has been registered at Mandi Police Station in this regard.

DCP Dr. Vikram V. Amathe supervised CCB Inspector A. Mallesh, Food Inspector T.J. Lakshmi, CCB ASI R. Raju and staff Joseph Noronha, D. Sreenivasa Prasad, Purushotham, Arun Kumar, Pushpalatha, Dhananjay and Srinivas in the raid, nabbing and seizing operation, according to a press release from the Public Relations Officer (PRO), City Police Commissioner’s Office, Mysuru.
