One arrested, 17 domestic and commercial LPG cylinders, cash, refilling equipment seized
Mysuru: City Crime Branch (CCB) Police, along with the officials of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, on Dec.19, who raided a shop in Hotagalli where the illegal LPG refilling was taking place, have arrested the accused besides seizing LPG cylinders, cash and equipment from the place.
The arrested is 38-year-old Hanumanrao, proprietor of Hemanth Fancy Gifts and Home Appliances, located on the 5th Main, Water Tank Road in Hotagalli.
The accused was conducting the illegal business in the shop. The Cops have seized 17 domestic and commercial LPG cylinders, Rs.1,000 cash and refilling equipment from the shop.
A case has been registered at Vijayanagar Police Station in this regard.
CCB in-Charge ACP C. Gopal supervised CCB Inspector A. Mallesh, Mysuru Rural Food Inspector Ramachandra and CCB ASI R. Raju and staff Joseph Noronha, D. Sreenivasa Prasad, Purushotham, Arun Kumar, Raghu, Rajashri Jalawadi, Dhananjay and Srinivas in the raid, nabbing and seizing operation, according to a press release from the PRO, City Police Commissioner’s office, Mysuru.
