Bilikere Police, on Wednesday night, seized a tractor which was transporting sand illegally and have launched a hunt to nab the driver who fled from the spot leaving the tractor behind.

It is reported that the Police on night beat, who saw the tractor transporting sand near Doddahosur-Rani Gate Road in Periyapatna taluk, intercepted the tractor following which Chandrashekar, who was driving the tractor fled from the spot.

SI Ramachandra Nayak, staff Krishna, Nandeesh, Ravikumar and others took part in the seizing operation. Bilikere Police have registered a case in this regard.
