Mysore/Mysuru: Lauding V.V. Puram (both Traffic and Law & Order) and Vijayanagar Police personnel for their quick response in shifting the injured person to a hospital and shifting the deceased rider to the mortuary, City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta, appreciating the efforts of the Police personnel, gave them ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ at his office on Mar. 23.
The Police personnel, who received the certificates are; Assistant Sub-Inspectors Swamynayaka and Madegowda, Head Constable A.M. Lokesh, Constables Shivanaga and Ramesh, all from V.V. Puram Traffic Police Station, Vijayanagar Police Station Head Constable H.R. Ganesh, Sanjeevini Ambulance Driver Bhaskar and driver P. Manju.
The accident had taken place on Mar. 22 evening on the Ring Road near RMP Quarters during which a bike rider was killed after he was run over by a tipper vehicle and the pillion rider had sustained injuries.
The Police personnel, who had rushed to the spot, not only shifted the injured and the dead to the hospital and mortuary, but also cleared the vehicles involved in the accident from the road for smooth flow of traffic.
