Improve infrastructure at Vivekanandanagar Library

Sir,

The District Library in Vivekanandanagar has been located in a decent building but the infrastructure like furniture, lighting are not properly placed as per the convenience of the readers.

The new chairs are too big and occupy more space much to the inconvenience of the readers to move about in the limited space.

The lights at the centre table are not enough and proper lighting has to be provided there. The old books and newspapers occupy more space at the front portion which need to be removed immediately to provide more space for tables.  The number of English dailies to be increased for reading by more readers as they are in limited number at present. Also a committee of local readers to be formed to look into the basic necessities of the Library.

The direction board to the Library at Vivekanandanagar road end is put up on a different road than the Library location, and is confusing to new-comers,  which need to be replaced at the  correct road end.

A CCTV has to be installed and reviewed at periodical intervals to see if any magazines are lifted by the readers. Previous newspapers must be placed at a prominent place with a board displayed.
