Inconvenience caused to bus passengers on Vijayadashami Day

October 13, 2022

Sir,

The management of Dasara celebrations drawing crowds, each outnumbering the previous years’, is truly a herculean task. It has been managed efficiently and kudos to all the people involved.

But on Vijayadashami Day, passengers of buses were inconvenienced greatly as the buses coming to Mysuru were stopped at Sathagalli bus stand, leaving passengers (locals as well as from outside places) stranded in the middle of nowhere.

Passengers carrying their luggage, women and children had to bargain with auto drivers who were engaged in extortion, charging exorbitant prices. I request the authorities concerned to look into the matter and have a better communication system in place for bus passengers so that they do not have to face such inconveniences in future.
