Leads  two-Test series 1-0

India took a 1-0 lead in their two-Test series against  Bangladesh after winning the first match in Chittagong by 188 runs as the hosts were bowled out for 324 on the final day of play today resuming on an overnight score of 272-6 in their second innings.

Bangladesh soon lost the wicket of Mehidy Hasan Miraz (13) to Mohammed Siraj. Captain Shakib Al Hasan (84) was next to depart as his entertaining display, which featured six fours and six sixes, came to an end after Kuldeep Yadav found the middle stump as Shakib tried an aerial stroke.

Kuldeep then dismissed Ebadot Hossain for a duck, before Axar Patel bowled out Taijul Islam for the same score, finishing with figures of 4-77 in the second innings.

The guests had posted 404 runs after K.L. Rahul won the toss and decided to bat first.

India then bundled out Bangladesh for 150, gaining a first-innings lead of 254. Kuldeep Yadav had returned figures                          of 5 for 40.

The K.L. Rahul-led side declared its second innings for 258 for 2, setting a 513-run target for Bangladesh.

Shakib Al Hasan showed good resilience with his 84-run knock but he lacked support from other end as India bundled out his team for 324. Axar Patel registered a four-wicket haul in the final innings, while Kuldeep took three.

The second Test will be played from Dec. 22 to Dec. 26 at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
