India F4 Futures Men’s Tennis Tournament: Vasisht enters main draw

Mysuru lad C. Vasisht entered the main draw in the men’s singles event in the India F4 $15,000 ITF Men’s Futures Tennis Tournament at the Bhilai Steel Plant Tennis Complex, Bhilai on Saturday last.

In the final qualifying round Vasisht beat second seeded Anirudh Chandrashekar 6-4, 7-5 to enter the main draw of the tournament. In the first round, Vasisht beat Shaikh Abdullah 7-6 (4), 6-3.

Suraj R. Prabodh, also from city, has been given a wild card into the main draw of the men’s singles event. In the first round of the men’s singles event, Suraj will play qualifier Abhinasu Borthakur while C. Vasisht will play wild card entrant Himanshu Mourya.
