‘India will rule the world in manufacturing sector in 20 years’

Mysore/Mysuru: T.R. Parasuraman, President and Whole Time Director, Toyota Industries Engine India Private Limited, has said that the incumbent India was changing and it is going to rule the entire world in manufacturing sector in 20 years.

He was speaking at the 26th annual Convocation of Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDMIMD) at the foot of Chamundi Hill here on Friday.

Parasuraman said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious programmes, ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar’ were having great vision. Along with this, National Education Policy (NEP) has been an important decision. Under NEP, students of a course can choose subjects of other courses. This is going to play an important role in the country’s development. There will be plethora of opportunities for the degree holders of Management Studies, he added.

On this occasion, Dr. Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of the Dharmasthala, gave away degree certificates to 170 students. While Gourav Maheshwari secured two gold medals, R. Abhishek, Rishab Kumar, Ayesha Nehla, Aman Kumar and Khushboorani have bagged one  medal each.

SDMIMD Director Dr. N R Parasuraman, Dy. Director Prof. H. Gayatri, Prof. S.N. Prasad, CII Chairman Pavan G. Ranga, D. Surendrakumar, Nishit Jain and Anant Koppad were present.
