Commonwealth Games – 2026
Glasgow: India won a massive 16 medals on Day-10 of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games at Scotland yesterday, headlined by a dream run of the boxing contingent, who contributed 10 (7 golds and 3 silvers).
Boxers Preeti Pawar, Jaismine Lamboria, Sakshi Chaudhary, Priya Ghanghas, Arundhati Choudhary, Sachin Siwach and Ankush Panghal bagged the top honours, while Jadumani Singh, Lovlina Borgohain and Narender Berwal won silver medals in their respective weight categories.
Long-distance runner Gulveer Singh clinched his second medal of CWG 2026 in the men’s 5000m final, bagging bronze.
On the other hand, India produced a 1-2 finish in the men’s F57 shot put event, with Soman Rana clinching gold and Shubham Juyal bagging silver.
In the men’s triple jump event, Praveen Chithravel won silver, while Selva Prabhu Thirumaran clinched bronze.
Judoka Unnati Sharma also bagged a bronze medal.
India’s medal tally on Day-10 stands at 39 with 13 gold, 17 silver & 9 bronze, taking the nation to fourth in the medal table.
