Mysuru: Indian Dastkaar Handloom and Handicraft Haat, an exclusive exhibition on Handlooms, Handicrafts and Lifestyle products, is underway at Scouts & Guides Ground, behind Old DC’s Office, Mysuru, from Jan. 17. The expo will be open for public from 10.30 am to 9.30 pm till Mar. 15.
With over 160 stalls and artisans from across India, the expo exhibits brass artifacts and metal home decor from Muradabad, Pattachitra from Odisha, marble handicrafts from Agra, handloom sarees from Bhagalpur, hand painted sarees from West Bengal, khadi kurta & kurtis from Meerut, crockery from Khurja, Pashmina Shawls, sarees, dresses from Kashmir, cotton Dharwad and Illkal sarees from Karnataka, handloom home furnishing from Tamil Nadu, handloom bedsheets from Jhansi, bedsheets from Jaipur, Rajasthan, Ikkat tops from Kachampali, Andhra Pradesh, chickankari dress & tops from Lucknow, oxidised jewellery from West Bengal, handmade Firozabad glass bangles, joothi from Punjab, carpets from Mirzapur, Nepali stone artifacts from Nepal, wooden toys from Channapatna, handicraft furniture from Saharanpur, dry fruits from Kashmir and jute handbags from Mysuru.
Also, there will be live demonstration of making grass mats from West Bengal.
