Indian Oil dealers condemn inhuman treatment, submit memorandum

October 30, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: Alleging that inhuman treatment is being meted out by Indian Oil officers by behaving rudely and harshly, the Mysuru Indian Oil Dealers’ Association held a protest meeting at a private hotel in city this morning and submitted a memorandum to the Indian Oil Divisional Sales Retail Head of Mysore Divisional Office.

In the memorandum, the Association has stated that they had requested to treat the dealer fraternity with due respect many times but still many officers were behaving in a rude manner and also using curt language. The Association has demanded that dealers be  treated appropriately.

Pointing out that the dealers do not have proper sitting arrangements when they visit the Indian Oil Depot to purchase fuel and lubricants, the Association stated that dealers are made to sit outside the  security area.

The Association has also urged the Divisional Sales Retail Head to advice his Officers not to speak badly and lightly about the Association’s  office-bearers.

The Indian Oil officials are threatening dealers that their retail outlet will be closed down by giving flimsy reasons, which would not only damage the reputation of the dealer but also Indian Oil company, the Association further said.

Stating that the list of harassment to them is exhaustive, the Association has urged the Divisional Sales Retail Head of Mysore Divisional Office to kindly reciprocate and help the dealers to improve the business.

IOCL Mysuru President S.R. Patil, Mandya President Sri Harsha, Ramanagar President Dr. Girish, Kodagu Association Secretary H.S. Ashok, Federation of Mysore Petroleum Traders President Shashikala Nagaraj, Secretary Ranjith Hegde and others took part in the meeting.
