Indira Canteen construction work to begin from Dec.4; to open from Jan.1, 2018

Mysuru: After successfully launching 195 Indira Canteens in Bengaluru, the State Government is ready to extend the same facility to Mysuru with Chief Minister Siddharamaiah instructing the officials to make arrangements to start a total of 16 canteens in the District including 11 in Mysuru city.

The officials, who have been given a deadline of Jan. 1, 2018 to start the canteens, have already completed the levelling of lands identified for the canteens for which the construction will commence from Monday (Dec. 4).  The tender for the construction of the canteens has been awarded to KEF Infra, Mysuru.

The construction of the canteens is expected to be completed in a week and works on providing UGD and water connection will be completed by the end of this month after which the canteens will be operational from Jan. 1, 2018.

The following are the places in city identified for setting up Indira canteens:

1) K.R. Hospital premises, 2) Government Guest House, 3) CADA Office, 4) Highway Circle (Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Circle), 5) P.K. Sanatorium, 6) Sewage Farm, 7) Sangeeta Corner in Aalanahalli, 8) Sharada Devi Nagar, 9) Azeez Sait Road, Udayagiri, 10) Mysore Tennis Club and 11) Triveni Circle in Kalyanagiri.
