Injured snake rescued, operated and released

Mysuru: A spectacled cobra snake, which had sustained serious injuries when an earth excavating machine was removing mud, was rescued by a snake rescuer, who rushed the injured reptile to a Veterinarian, got it treated and has later released the snake into its natural habitat.

It is learnt that the excavator was removing mud from an agri field on the outskirts of Varakodu village in the taluk, when the snake got stuck to the machine resulting in serious injuries to its body.

Snake rescuer Nitish of Varakodu village, who rushed to the spot, rescued the snake and rushed it to Veterinarian Dr. Yashwanth Kumar on Dr. Rajkumar Road in city, where the Vet put 24 stitches to the snake and treated it.

After the snake recovered, Nitish released it into its natural habitat.
