Inner Wheel to host South Zone Meet in city on Sept. 7, 8

To launch ‘Cauvery Calling’ with Isha Foundation

Mysuru: Inner Wheel District 318 will be hosting the South Zone Meet of the Association of Inner Wheel Clubs in India for the first time in the heritage city of Mysuru on Sept.7 and 8.

This event will be attended by seven Inner Wheel Districts of South India from the States of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and North and South Karnataka.

On the occasion, Inner Wheel District 318 will be launching the ‘Cauvery Calling Project.. Plant a Tree, Save River Cauvery…’ in the presence of Sadhguru  Jaggi Vasudev of Isha Foundation, who will also address the members.

All the Clubs in the seven districts will contribute to the programme along with many others. Association President of Inner Wheel Clubs in India Mamta Gupta, Past International President Dr. Pallavi Shah and Past Association President Shailaja Bhat will be present on the occasion.

“An opportunity beckons us to Save Mother Earth… Let’s do it now. We are the first generation who has seen and been affected by the Climate Change, and the last generation that can do something about it,” said the Convenor of the Meet and Past District Chairman Naina Achappa, District Chairman Anuradha Nandakumar and Publicity Chairman Jannavi Murthy.

In all, 600 delegates will attend the meeting and an awareness on the importance of the environment will be created. A Saree Walkathon for an Orphan-free India will be the highlight of the next  day’s session.
