Father files complaint against 23-year-old son for burglary
Mysuru: A 23-year-old youth has been booked for allegedly stealing gold ornaments from his own house in Kadakola village, Mysuru taluk under Mysuru South Police limits.
The accused, identified as C. Chandu, has been named in a case registered by Mysuru South Police based on a complaint lodged by his father, Chinnanka. Three of Chandu’s friends, Kemparaju of Kadakola and Manoj and Rahul of Mysuru, have also been named in the case.
In his complaint, Chinnanka alleged that Chandu had fallen into bad company and had developed a habit of stealing money from the house.
He further stated that Chandu would pick quarrels whenever family members questioned him about the missing money.
According to the complaint, on June 3, Chandu, allegedly at the instigation of his three friends, stole a 25-gram gold chain and a six-gram gold ring worth about Rs. 4.30 lakh from an almirah in the house.
Chinnanka has urged Police to take legal action against the accused and recover the stolen jewellery. Mysuru South Police have registered a case and are investigating.
