The Episcopal Ordination and Installation of Rev. Msgr. K.A. William as the new Bishop of Mysuru Diocese will be held on Feb. 27 (Monday) at 4.30 pm at the St. Joseph’s Cathedral (St. Philomena’s Church) in city.
Diocese of Mysuru, Apostolic Administrator Most Rev. Dr. Thomas Antony Vazhapilly will be the Principal Consecrator. Archbishop of Bengaluru Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras, Chikkamagaluru Bishop Most Rev Dr. T. Anthony Swamy will be the Co-Consecrators.
District in-Charge Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa, Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait, Bengaluru Development Minister K.J. George, Mayor M.J. Ravi Kumar and others will be present.
Addressing press persons at Bishop House in city this morning, Bishop-Elect K.A. William said that he will continue to work from where the previous Bishop Most Rev. Dr. Thomas Anthony Vazhapilly had left.
Stating that he would work towards protecting the Church properties, Fr. William added that Mysuru Diocese looked after 136 educational institutions including 25 to 30 in city.
Fr. Leslie Moras, Fr. Vijay Kumar and Fr. Marie Joseph were present.
