Institute for Assisted Reproduction Technology and Research Centre holds its first Graduation Day

Mysore/Mysuru: International Institute for Assisted Reproduction Technology and Research Centre celebrated its first Graduation Day with 40 students receiving their degrees at a function held at a resort in city on Sunday. The degrees were conferred by the chief guests.

The graduation ceremony was inaugurated by University of Mysore (UoM) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar.

Vice-Chancellor of Adichunchanagiri University Dr. M.A. Shekhar and Director of Planning Monitoring and Evaluation Board (PMEB) of UoM Dr. N.A. Lokanatha were the chief guests. Institute Managing Director Dr. H.V. Santhrupth, Principal Dr. Shilpa Santhrupth and Course Director Dr. M.S. Srinivas                                             were present.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Hemantha Kumar congratulated the graduates and said that there is a need for recognition of such skilled, career oriented courses and the technology should reach the society. He also wished that the Institute be recognised globally.

Dr. M.A. Shekhar taught the students three life success mantras — Courage, Compassion and Honesty — and advised the gathering to listen to the speech The Blueprint by Martin Luther King Junior and told them to never stop dreaming and to work hard to achieve the dreams.

Dr. Lokanatha advised the students to realise their potential, work for it and make their parents and country proud. He concluded his speech with a quote of Nelson Mandela: “Education is the most powerful weapon to change the world, now it is up to you to prove.”

The course, M.Sc degree in Assisted Reproduction and Embryology was started in the year 2019, with the mission of training the students in Clinical Embryology, to meet the shortage of properly trained Embryologists. The course is affiliated to University of Mysore and the Institute has students from 24 States.
