Vidwath-17, an Inter-Collegiate Commerce and Management Fest was organised at Vidyavardhaka First Grade College here recently.
In his introductory speech, College Principal Dr. M. Shivalinge Gowda said that Commerce and Management Fest like this is a platform to discover students’ hidden talents.
Kalisu Foundation Founder & CEO M.M. Nikhilesh, in his inaugural speech, stressed on the necessity of three letters ‘P.H.D’ — ‘P’ stands for Passion, ‘H’ for Hunger and ‘D’ for Determination — among young minds to succeed in life.
Advocate and Corporate Trainer (Bengaluru) R. Suresh was the chief guest on the occasion who ignited the young participants with many anecdotes.
He stressed on many qualities to be inculcated by the young minds like Potentiality, Passion, Thoughts, Self Confidence, Good Communication Skills and Good Leadership Skills.
Gundappa Gowda, Hon. President, Vidyavardhaka Sangha, was presided. HOD of Commerce and Management Prof. H.K. Shivaram, Vidwath-2017 Chief Co-ordinator Prof. B.M. Manjula, Organising Secretary Dr. S. Mari Gowda and former Principal of the College Dr. N. Shankar were present.
Sushmitha Riya Frank compered. Sharanya rendered invocation. Shrilatha welcomed. Shwetha proposed a vote of thanks. More than 300 participants from various colleges affiliated to University of Mysore took part in the Fest.
