Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Memorial Astronomy Club of Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), Mysuru, will be conducting an inter-collegiate Astronomy quiz on May 4 from 10.30 am to 2 pm at its Training and Placement Seminar Hall. The event will be inaugurated at 10.30 am. Dr. D.J. Ravi, Dean-Academics and Dr. G.B. Krishnappa, Dean (Research & Development), will be the guests of honour. Dr. B. Sadashive Gowda, Principal, VVCE, will preside. In this quiz, the basics of Astronomy and Astrophysics covering celestial bodies, solar system, stars, comets and fundamentals of Physics shall be asked. Both written and oral rounds have been planned. The students of engineering, PUC and degree college can participate. Each team should have two students. Entry fee per team is Rs. 50.
