Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Memorial Astronomy and Space Science Club of Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE) in association with Mysore Science Foundation (MSF) and Corporate & International Affairs (C & IA) of VVCE is organising inter-collegiate competitions on Astronomy and Space Science on Nov. 24 (Thursday) at Mechanical Department Seminar Hall of the institution in city.
Dr. B.R. Guruprasad, Public Relations Professional, Space Scientist, ISRO, Bengaluru and a Science Communicator, will be the chief guest at the inaugural function at 9.30 am.
Dr. B. Sadashive Gowda, Principal, VVCE and Dr. B.C. Ashok, Dean, Corporate & International Affairs, will be the guests of honour.
Model making and Astronomy quiz competitions have been scheduled. Nearly 50 teams from various institutions are expected to participate. On the occasion, Dr. S.A. Mohan Krishna, Dr. K.V. Sudheesh, Dr. Arun C. Dixit, faculty coordinators, G.B. Santosh Kumar, Secretary, MSF, H.V. Muralidhar, from MSF, Deans, Heads of the various departments, faculty members, students will be present.
