Mysuru: Sri Ramakrishna Vidyashala had organised the 47th Sri Shambhavanandaji Memorial Inter-High School Written General Knowledge (GK) Competition at its premises in Yadavagiri here yesterday.
About 700 students of 9th and 10th standard of over 36 schools in city participated in the event.
Thirty students of Ramakrishna Institute of Moral and Spiritual Education (RIMSE) were deployed as invigilators to conduct the test which was of 90 minute duration carrying 100 marks.
The panel of Judges comprised C.V. Srinivas, an alumnus of the Vidyashala from Bengaluru, Mamata Harish, Head Mistress, Rotary Brindavan School and Vikram Muthanna, Managing Editor, Star of Mysore.
First three prizes and five special prizes will be given to winners of 9th and 10th standard separately. Five Schools will also get prizes and a Rolling Shield will be presented to the outstanding student. The prizes will be presented to the winners at the 66th Annual Day of Vidyashala to be held on Dec.22 which will have Anil Swaroop, CEO, State Development Council, Government of Jharkhand, as the chief guest. Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama Correspondent Swami Yukteshanandaji, Vidyashala Principal Balaji and others were present. The three judges visited the class rooms where the test was being held.
