Vivekananda Institute of Indian Studies (VIIS), a unit of Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM), in association with Swaralayam Arts Forum, Houston, USA, is organising ‘Samskṛtotsava 2026: Inter-School Quiz Competition’ with the theme ‘Indian Culture, Heritage and Sanskrit.’
The quiz is intended to encourage school students to develop an interest in India’s rich cultural heritage, traditional knowledge, Sanskrit language and the lives and teachings of great Indian personalities.
The contest will cover five major areas: Ramayana, Mahabharata, Great Indian Saints, Spiritual and Pilgrimage Centres of India and Sanskrit Language & Literature. Students studying in Classes VIII, IX and X are eligible to participate. Each team will consist of two students.
The preliminary written round will be held on Aug. 24 from 10 am to 11.30 am at V-LEAD, Mysuru. The preliminary round will consist of 60 objective questions. Six teams will qualify for the Grand Finale to be held as part of the Sanskrit Day celebrations on Aug. 29 at 4.30 pm at BSS Vidyodaya, Krishnamurthypuram.
