14 cell phones, three bikes worth Rs. 7 lakh recovered
Mysore/Mysuru: Udayagiri Police have arrested an inter-State thief and have recovered 14 costly mobile phones and three bikes, all worth about Rs. 7 lakh from him.
The arrested is 20-year-old Mohammed Shoaib of Ghousianagar in city and the Police have recovered one TVS Apache bike, two Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 bikes and 14 mobile phones of various brands from him.
Following his arrest, the Police have solved cases in Udayagiri, VV Puram, Devaraja, Mandya West, Bannur and Malavalli Police limits. Police said that the accused has one case each registered at Krishnaraja (KR), Mysuru Rural, Vidyaranyapuram, Arakere and Mandya West Police Stations and two cases each in Vijayanagar and Srirangapatna Police Stations and four cases registered in Udayagiri Police Station.
DCP (Crime and Traffic) M.S. Geetha Prasanna and Devaraja Sub-Division ACP M.N. Shashidhar guided Udayagiri Inspector P.K. Raju, Sub-Inspectors Sunil and Nagaraja Nayaka, Assistant Sub-Inspector Papanna and staff Shankar, Sidique Ahmed, Somashekar, Mohankumar, Shivarajappa and Sameer Patil Biradar in the nabbing and recovery operation.
