Interaction session on ‘Tracing missing children’ held

Mysuru: The District Unit of Missing Children Bureau recently held an interaction with representatives of voluntary organisations on tracing of missing children at the District Children Protection unit in Vijayanagar 4th Stage. Presiding over the meeting, CCB ACP C. Gopal called upon the voluntary organisations engaged in child welfare and protection to provide information in missing children and to work towards creating a child-friendly atmosphere in the city.

Pointing out that the Police Department was always willing to lend a helping hand, he underlined the need for voluntary organisation to work towards bringing children to the mainstream.

District Child Protection officer R. Nagaraj, in his address, called upon the voluntary organisations to work together for protecting child rights and to guarantee security and safety for children.

He also highlighted the need for creating a child-friendly atmosphere in shaping the future of children.

Father Edward Thomas, State Director of Missing children Bureau, was the chief guest. The Bureau co-ordinator Binu Varghese, Baduku organisation’s Dhananjay, Child Welfare Committee President Venkatesh, Margin Lobo, Venkatesh, Anuradha Murthy, Prasanna, S.K. Suresh and others were present.
