International Conference on Innovations in Engineering held

Mysuru: The NIE Institute of Technology (NIE-IT) had  organised its First International Conference on ‘Innovations in Engineering, Technology and Sciences (ICIETS-2018)’ at its campus in Koorgalli recently.

The event was sponsored by IEEE Bengaluru Section, VTU Belagavi, KPTCL, CESC, BESCom, HESCom, MESCom, Kaynes Technology-Mysuru, Power Research and Development Consultants (PRDC)-Bengaluru and Confer Group of Professional Conferences (CGPC) – Andra Pradesh.

This Conference explored the new horizon of innovations from distinguished researchers, scientists, and eminent authors in academia and industry working for the advancements in Science, Engineering and Technology from all over the world.

ICIETS-2018 aimed to bring together Academicians, Scientists, Research Scholars and Students, to share and disseminate information on knowledge and scientific research works related to above topics and confers the practical challenges encountered and the solutions adopted.

The Conference included Technical talks by experts across the globe and technical and research paper presentation. Exhibition of products and services by smart power, renewable technologies, instrumentation and communication industries as well as government and non-government agencies were the part of the conference.

R.S. Rajkumar, Hon. Treasurer, NIE, presided and released conference proceedings.

Dr. H.P. Khincha, former Vice-Chancellor, VTU – Belagavi, inaugurated the conference and delivered the keynote address.

C. Shikha, Managing Director, BESCom, inaugurated NIE-IT e-Shikshana Laboratory while Dr. K. Balaraman, Director General, NIWE, under MNRE, GoI, inaugurated 85kW Solar Roof Top Power Plant, N. Narasimhe Gowda, DT, CESC, Mysuru, inaugurated Centre for Renewable Energy Technologies, Benild Joseph inaugurated Resource Centres — NCSSS and ISSA.

G.S. Ramachandra, Hon. Secretary, NIE, Dr. T. Ananthapadmanabha, Principal and CEO, NIE-IT  and Dr. Shivaganesh Malla, Chairman, CPGC, AP, were the chief guests.
