Mysuru: Cauvery Heart and Multi-Speciality Hospital, Mysuru, commemorated International Nurses Day by honouring the dedication, compassion and vital contributions of its nursing staff.
The event, held at the Hospital premises recently, was attended by Dr. M.S. Jayanth, District TB Officer, who was the chief guest.
The celebration was organised under the guidance of Dr. G.R. Chandrashekar, Chairman, Dr. Sarala Chandrashekar, Managing Director, Dr. B.S. Rajeeva, Medical Superintendent, K.M. Prashanth, Facility Director and P. Jasmine, Nursing Superintendent.
In his address, Dr. Jayanth praised the tireless efforts of nurses, particularly in the post-pandemic healthcare landscape. “Nurses are the backbone of any healthcare system. Their round-the-clock dedication, empathy and resilience are invaluable to patient care and recovery,” he said.
The event featured speeches, a special felicitation ceremony for outstanding nursing staff and cultural performances by the hospital team.
Dr. Chandrashekar emphasised the evolving role of nurses in modern medicine, stating, “As healthcare becomes more specialised, our nurses continue to rise to the challenge with professionalism and a patient-first approach.”
Dr. Sarala Chandrashekar extended her gratitude to the Nursing Department, noting, “Their commitment is the heart of this hospital. Today, we honour their strength, skill and spirit.”
The celebration served not only to recognise the contributions of nurses but also to reaffirm Cauvery Hospital’s ongoing commitment to excellence in patient care through a strong and motivated nursing workforce.
