Mysore/Mysuru: Commemorating the International Youth Day (Aug. 12), under the aegis of the Youth for Governance (Y4G) Fellowship, Grassroots Research And Advocacy Movement (GRAAM) aims to bring out youth’s voice to community issues and sensitise more young people on participatory governance.
Towards this initiative, GRAAM, in association with the Department of Social Work, Manasagangothri, University of Mysore (UoM), has organised the following events on Aug. 21:
● 9 am to 11 am: Street Play Competition at Vijnana Bhavan, UoM, themed ‘Bringing Awareness on Issues Related to Social Equality, Climate Change Management and Youth Participation in Democracy and Governance.’
● 12 noon to 1 pm: Panel Discussion on ‘Youth Participation in Politics & Governance.’
● 2 pm to 3 pm: Poster Presentation Competition themed ‘Civic Responsibility, Engaging Youth in Governance, Ambassadors of Democracy and Influencing volunteerism.’
● 2 pm to 3 pm: Quiz Competition at Vijnana Bhavan, UoM, on the theme ‘Governance and Democracy.’
● 3 pm to 3.30 pm: Reels Challenge on the themes of ‘Civic Responsibility, Engaging Youth in Governance, Ambassadors of Democracy and Influencing Volunteerism.’
The events will be formally inaugurated at 11 am and valedictory ceremony will be held between 3.30 pm and 4.30 pm.
