Intl. Conference at SDM-IMD from Nov. 15

Mysuru: Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDM-IMD), Mysuru, located at the foot of Chamundi Hill, will be organising 5th International Conference on the theme of Economic Growth and Sustainable Development: Emerging Trends on Nov. 15 and 16. 

The conference has been organised to deliberate on the factors driving growth and causing slowdown in the economies in the emerging global open market. It also has the objective of reviewing the sustainability frameworks adopted in different contexts by the national economies, and the firms. The conference, organised in the backdrop of growing economic uncertainties and instabilities in significant parts of the world including India, will be inaugurated by Dr. Sebastien Chantelot. He is the Director of La Rochelle Business School (France) and Vice Dean-Academics of Excelia Group. 

Industry professionals and internationally reputed academics will be delivering special lectures on different issues pertaining to the conference theme. The conference has an exclusive panel discussion on sustainability and business economy. Experts from different domains of sustainability are the panellists. 

Members from academia, industry and research scholars from different parts of the country and abroad are presenting research papers or case studies for further deliberations. 

Workshop on Development Banking 

A pre-conference workshop has been organised on Nov.14 on the theme of Development Banking and Inclusive Growth: Emerging Trends.  Srinivas Acharya, Managing Director of Sundaram BNP Paribas Home Finance, will be inaugurating the workshop. Experts from the field of development banking are the resource persons. The workshop is run through lectures, debates, and moderated panel discussion.
