Intl. Epilepsy Day observed

Mysuru: International Epilepsy Day was observed at a function organised in association with Mysore Medical College & Research Centre, Princess Krishnajammanni Super Speciality Hospital and Karnataka Brain Health Initiative (KABHI), Brain Health Clinic of Mysuru District Hospital, in city on Feb. 20.

The event aimed to raise awareness about epilepsy, bringing together a team of distinguished medical professionals, including Dr. Mohan G. Kakola, Nodal Officer and Head of the Plastic Surgery Department, Dr. K. Suresh, Neurologist, Dr. B.M. Shashi Kumar, Senior Specialist and RMO and Dr. B.M. Ravi Kumar, Medical Officer at the Brain Health Clinic. Specialists Bibi Fathima – Clinical Psychologist, Erafana – Audiologist and Speech Language Pathologist and S.K. Chithra – Physiotherapist contributed their expertise.

The session emphasised on the importance of early diagnosis, treatment and the collaborative efforts needed to support individuals living with epilepsy.
