‘State Government to regularise services of 1,000 contractual Nurses’
Mysuru: “Nurses have contributed immensely towards the growth of Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research (Jayadeva Hospital) in becoming an iconic healthcare service provider set up by the State Government. The people of the State have immense belief in the quality of services provided at Jayadeva Hospitals,” said Institute Director Dr. K.S. Ravindranath.
He was speaking at a function organised to celebrate ‘International Nurses Day’ at Jayadeva Hospital premises on KRS Road in city on May 12.
Conveying his best wishes to the nursing staff, Dr. Ravindranath said that there are about 1,000 Nurses who are working on contractual basis in various Jayadeva Hospitals of the State for the past 10 years and the State Government is planning to regularise their services.
“We have already increased maternity leave of nurses to 6 months and we are also providing PF and insurance facilities. Nurses must interact with patients in a compassionate manner,” he added.
Medical Superintendent of Mysuru Jayadeva Hospital Dr. K.S. Sadananda, who briefed on the Hospital’s performance, said: “In 2024, a total of 19,047 Cathlab and 11,375 Angiogram procedures were performed. A total of 6,267 Angioplasty and 892 surgeries have been performed. Also, 2,32,129 people have received treatment as out-patients and 20,286 people have received treatment as in-patients. ECG has been done to1,82,963 people and TMT tests have been done to 8,594 patients.”
Jayadeva Hospital Financial Advisor Avinash Gerald, RMO Dr. Pashupati, Dr. Dinesh, Dr. Jayaprakash, Dr. Srinath, Dr. Jayasheelan, Dr. Rashmi, Dr. Devaraj, Yogalakshmi, Harish Kumar, PRO Vani Mohan, Champakamala and Hospital Engineers were present.
