Educational institutions must develop leadership qualities in students: Flight Lieutenant Shravani Bhargav
Mysore/Mysuru: “Every child has the potential to emerge as a leader. It is the responsibility of educational institutions to create a platform that encourages and inspires them to develop leadership qualities,” said Flight Lieutenant Shrawani Bhargav of the Indian Air Force (IAF).
She was speaking at student ‘Oath Ceremony’ at Nypunya School of Excellence, Kanakadasanagar, Dattagalli campus, where she received the flag salute.
“To enhance the proactiveness and commitment of students, leadership qualities should be encouraged. In this regard, appropriate guidance should be provided to students to organise activities, collaborations and constructive programmes themselves. India is progressing towards the top position among leading nations in the world, and at this juncture, it is the primary duty of educational institutions to shape responsible future citizens,” she said.
“Also, it is crucial for future generations to cultivate a strong sense of national loyalty and dedication, more than ever before. Therefore, inspiring programmes that promote discipline and self-control should be part of educational activities,” she urged.
The oath ceremony at Nypunya, R.T. Nagar campus, was inaugurated by Prof. S. Madialagan of the Department of Physical Education, Sports and Science, University of Mysore, by receiving the flag salute.
Badges were given to students, who were also administered the oath and assigned various positions, delegating responsibilities.
