Cauvery PU and Degree College, Virajpet, in association with HSR Layout Kodava Samaja, Bengaluru and Karthura Muddappa Family, has organised Karthura Muddappa and Gowri Muddappa Memorial Invitational South Zone Inter-Collegiate 7 Aside Men’s Hockey Tournament at College premises on Feb.15 and 16.
The Tournament will be inaugurated at 11 am on Feb.15 with Prof. Ittira K. Biddappa, Director, Cauvery Education Society, Mukkattira Aiyappa, Advocate, Kushalnagar, Lt. Col. (retd.) Konganda Machaiah of Mac Security, Bengaluru, Kullachanda P. Bopanna Director, Cauvery Education Society, Puchimada Subhash Subbaiah, Director, Cauvery Education Society and N.M. Nanaiah, Principal, PU College, as the chief guests. Chandapanda Poonacha, former National Women’s Hockey Coach, will be the guest of honour. Cheriyapanda K. Uthappa, President, Cauvery Education Society, will preside.
Finals and prize distribution ceremony will be held on Feb.16 at 3 pm. Dr. Mollera P. Ganesh, Padma Shri awardee, Maneyapanda A. Ponnappa, former Chairman, State Media Academy, Bengaluru, Dr. Mapangada Belliappa, President, HSR Kodava Samaja, Bengaluru, Buttiyanda A. Chengappa, International Hockey Player, Lokesh of Madhuloka Group, Bengaluru, Nathan, President of Lions Club, HSR Layout, Bengaluru, Ravigowda, CEO, Mengers Aquisition, Bengaluru, Vincent Raj, President, Rotary Club, Bengaluru Main, will be the chief guests. Koothanda K. Poonacha, former World Cup Hockey Player, will be the guest of honour. Prof. A.M. Kamalakshi, Principal, Cauvery College, Virajpet, will preside.
