Mysuru: Several Kannada activists, writers, literary enthusiasts and farmer leaders have urged the Government not to hold Akhila Bharata Kannada Sahitya Sammelana until a probe is ordered into the alleged irregularities in Mysuru District Kannada Sahitya Parishat.
Speaking at an interaction meet on “How correct is to hold the Sammelana in a corrupt environment,” organised jointly by Naganava Kala Sahitya Vedike and Sirigannada Vedike at Namana Kalamantap in Krishnamurthypuram recently, senior writer from Kolar Dr. Muni Venkatappa urged the Government to order a comprehensive probe into the irregularities in Mysuru District Kannada Sahitya Parishat.
The Meet also passed a resolution on entrusting the responsibility of chalking out future course of action to Mysuru Rakshana Vedike President M.K. Premkumar, Mysuru Kannada Vedike President S. Balakrishna and Karnataka Janapada Parishat President Kyathanahalli Prakash.
Sirigannada Vedike Vice-President Sougandhika Jois, Prof. P.V. Nanjaraje Urs, Dr. P.K. Puttananjaiah, Dileep Salanke, A. Sangappa, C. Maheshwaran, Homma Manjunath, Allaranda Vittal, Nanjappa, Jayasimha Sridhar, Gnanesh Kumar, Praveen Kumar, Deshihalli Ramachandrachari, Nanjangud Satyanarayana, D.H. Krishnamurthy, Bannur K. Raju, R. Radhakrishna, Bogadi Siddegowda and others attended the meeting.
