Mysuru: The Student Chapter of Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) for the academic year 2019-20 was recently installed at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Maharaja Institute of Technology, Mysuru, recently. Madhusudhan Ojha, Scientific Officer, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mysuru, was the chief guest for the event. T.A. Prabhakar, President, ISHRAE, Mysuru Chapter, Dr. S.A. Mohan Krishna, Students Activities Chair, ISHRAE, Mysuru Chapter, Anil Kumar, Secretary, ISHRAE, Mysuru Chapter, Dr. T. Vasudev, Secretary, Maharaja Education Trust, Dr. Mohamed Khaisar, Professor & Head, Mechanical Engineering, MIT Mysuru, Prof. G.D. Chethana, Faculty Advisor of the Chapter, Mechanical Engineering, MITM, were present during the event.
Before the installation programme, student members of the Chapter participated in Paper Bag Making event which meant to create awareness among the students of MITM about minimising the use of plastic bags in the college campus. Later, a technical talk was delivered by Madhusudhan Ojha, Scientific Officer, BARC, Mysuru on ‘Nuclear energy and its role in future.’
