Mysuru based Dhruthi T. Venugopal and Karman Kaur Thandi combined well and beat Polina Mevenkova & Ekaterina Yashina 6-3, 6-1 and entered the quarter-finals in the women’s doubles event in 25,000$ ITF women’s tennis in Uzbekistan on Wednesday.
In the women’s singles first round, Dhruthi got the better of Valeriya Zeleva 6-4, 5-7, 6-2.
