Mysuru lad Arnav Pathange, taking part in the ITF Grade-5 Junior Tennis Tournament at the Indore Tennis Club yesterday, scored a good win in the Boys Singles pre-quarter-finals and entered the last eight stage in the Tournament.
Arnav Pathange beat Aayush Bhat (USA) 6-3, 6-4 in the Boys Singles to enter the quarter-finals. In the first round, Arnav scored a well-earned 4-6, 6-1, 6-3 win over Deep Munim to progress further.
In the Boys Doubles event, Arnav, teaming up with Denim Yadav beat Aayush Bhat (USA) and Kartik Saxena 6-1, 6-4 to enter the quarter-finals.
AITA Men’s Tourney
Bengaluru: G. Manish, a 2nd PU student of Sapient PU College and a product of the Mysore Tennis Club, Mysuru, taking part in the AITA Men’s Tennis Tourney conducted by Rohan Bopanna Tennis Academy in Bengaluru, entered the quarter-finals in the Men’s Singles event yesterday.
In the pre-quarterfinals, G. Manish beat Anthrikish 6-0, 6-2 to move ahead. In the first round, Manish had scored a good 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (4) win over fourth seeded K. Dheeraj to progress further.
