It’s Siddu’s last poll, ensure his victory: Dr. Yathindra tells voters

April 28, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: Varuna Congress MLA Dr. Yathindra Siddharamaiah has been playing emotional card, seeking the support of voters of Varuna Constituency to ensure the victory of his father Siddharamaiah by a huge margin in his last election.

Yathindra, who campaigned at Suttur, Geemaralli, Biligali, Alastrikatte Hundi and Bannahalli villages,  in favour of Siddharamaiah (the current Badami MLA), who has been contesting the election again on Congress ticket from Varuna this time, said that “Siddharamaiah during his five years of successful tenure as Chief Minister gave many Bhagyas (welfare schemes) for the cause of poor, farmers and school children, thus safeguarding the interests of people of the State.”

Siddharamaiah made efforts to build egalitarian society complying with the ethos of the Constitution by incorporating the principles of Buddha, Basavanna and Ambedkar. Anna Bhagya scheme was implemented to make Hunger-Free Karnataka. To address the scourge of malnutrition among school children Ksheera Bhagya scheme was implemented, followed by Shaadi Bhagya, Shoe Bhagya, Mytri, Yashaswini and Krishi Bhagya schemes, said Yathindra.

By implementing Special Component Plan (SCP) and Tribal Sub-plan (TSP), the roads and drains in Dalit and Nayaka community lanes were concreted. But the BJP which couldn’t digest these development works, has been creating a communal feud among castes and religions and disturbing peace in the society. They are under the illusion that they can win the elections with the money plundered in the State. But people of the State are eager to them a lesson, said Yathindra making a fervent appeal to the voters to ensure victory for Siddharamaiah in his last election.
