Mysuru: Garlanding of  Babu Jagjivan Ram’s statue at city Railway Station Circle marked the 112th birth anniversary of former Deputy PM Babu Jagjivan Ram organised jointly by District Administration, ZP, MCC and Social Welfare Department in city this morning.

The Karnataka Police Band paid tributes to the late Dalit leader by offering ‘General Salute’. The Band, led by Manjunath also played English music as a mark of respect.  

DC Abhiram G. Sankar, ZP CEO K. Jyothi, MCC Commissioner Shilpa Nag, Registrar of University of Mysore Prof. Lingaraja Gandhi and former Mayor Purushottam were present.
