Mysore/Mysuru: Jain Seer Punya Sagar Mahamuni will be arriving in the city at 3 pm tomorrow (July 6) to take part in the annual Chaturmasya.
Announcing this at a press meet here yesterday, the city’s Sri Digambar Jaina Samaj President M.R. Sunil Kumar Jain said that the Jain Seer will be welcomed to the city in front of CPC Polytechnic on Mysuru-Bengaluru Road.
Soon after his arrival, Pada Puja will be done to the Seer, following which he will be taken in a grand procession to Shantinatha Basadi adjacent to Banumaiah’s College on Sayyaji Rao Road.
The procession, accompanied by Mangalavadya, will pass through Ashoka Road, Albert Victor Road and K.R. Circle before reaching Shantinatha Basadi, he said.
Padmashri Jaina Mahila Samaja President Dr. Preeti Shubhachandra, Secretary Suma Dayakar, Sri Digambar Jaina Samaj Secretary Lakshmeesh Babu and Dakshina Bharat Teerth Kshetra Samiti President Vinod Bakliwal were present at the press meet.
