Mysuru: K.R. Constituency wing of BJP had organised a function at  Vidyashankara Kalyana Mantapa near Gun House here on Apr.6 to commemorate BJP Foundation Day. Several activists of Jan Sangh were felicitated on the occasion. Speaking after receiving the felicitation, former MLC Thontadarya recalled the days of Emergency in India and the evolution of Janata Party to counter the Congress.

He added that the original Jan Sangh activists came out of Janata Party to constitute Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

He expressed happiness in BJP coming to power in 21 States over the years.

Former Minister S.A. Ramadas, BJP K.R. Constituency President B.V. Manjunath, Corporators M.K. Shankar, M.V. Ramprasad, M.B. Jagadish, Shivakumar, Vanitha Prasanna and others were present at the Foundation Day event.
