Bengaluru: Union Minister Prakash Javadekar has been appointed the BJP’s election in-charge for the high-stake Karnataka Assembly poll while his Cabinet colleague Arun Jaitley will oversee Gujarat election.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal will be co-incharge for Karnataka while BJP Chief Amit Shah has appointed four Union Ministers — Narendra Singh Tomar, Nirmala Sitharaman, Jitendra Singh and P.P. Choudhary — as co-in-charge for Gujarat polls.
State BJP leadership welcomed the move. “Javadekar’s organisational skills and experience in executing poll strategies would be of great help in realising BJP’s Mission-150 in the State,” State party President B.S. Yeddyurappa said.
