Mysuru: Flute recital by Pandit Ronu Majumdar marked the inauguration of the 56th Heritage Music Festival organised by SPVGMC Trust at V.V. Mohalla as a part of Ganesha Festival in city yesterday. Ronu Majumdar was accompanied by Pt. Durgaprasad Majumdar on Pakhawaj and Pt. Prithviraj Mishra on tabla. Earlier, the Music Festival was inaugurated by Kannada and Culture Director N.R. Vishu Kumar.
Department of Information and Publicity former Joint Director K. Vijaykumar, Dr. C.G. Narasimhan, PDG Rtn. M. Lakshminarayana, Trust President R. Vasudeva Murthy and Industrialist Rajee V. Rao were present.
Today at 6.45 pm: Karnatak vocal recital by Vid. Krishna Mohan and Vid. Ramkumar Mohan, Vid. B. Ananthakrishnan (violin), Vid. Trichur R. Mohan (mridanga) and Vid. Venkatasubramaniam (ghata).
