JD(S) begins preparations for 2018 Assembly polls

Bengaluru – The JD(S) has decided to hold meetings with Party Legislators, District leaders and other prominent leaders at ‘J.P. Bhavan,’ the Party Headquarters, till the end of this month.

As part of its ‘Connect with the people programme,’ JD(S) State President H.D. Kumaraswamy held a meeting with leaders of 5 Assembly segments of Bengaluru city yesterday.

Calling upon party workers to work with the sole aim of bringing the JD(S) to power in the State, Kumaraswamy asked the workers to evolve strategies that can help the party win the Assembly polls in 2018.

Meanwhile, Kumaraswamy is all set to hold a marathon meeting with techies from across Karnataka today at Bengaluru.

The interaction with his ‘social media followers’ will start at Jnanajyothi auditorium at 9 am and end at 9 pm. Kumaraswamy said the 12-hour session will give an opportunity to understand the JD(S) and him better and offer suggestions for a forward looking government.

Pointing out that suggestions of the youth and techies will help the JD(S) draw a road map before the 2018 Assembly polls, Kumaraswamy said similar sessions will be held in all 30 District Headquarters.

The BJP used social media for debate, discussions, chats and peer-to-peer communication in the recent Uttar Pradesh polls, he added.

As of now, the State JD(S) Chief has ‘Kumaraswamy for CM’, a sponsored Facebook page handled by his fans and ‘Namma HDK’, his official page, active since the past 20 days.
