JD(S) intensifies criticism; seeks CM’s resignation

August 12, 2024

Mysore/Mysuru: The JD(S) has ramped up its criticism of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, seizing upon the alternative site controversy to further its political agenda.

The party has highlighted Siddaramaiah’s 1984 request for an alternative site from the City Improvement Trust Board (CITB), questioning the need for such a request 40 years earlier.

In a series of posts from its ‘X’ account yesterday, the JD(S) has accused Siddaramaiah of lying about his involvement in the alternative site scam, claiming that his assertion of not having received any alternative site or written any related letters is false.

They argued that the letter Siddaramaiah wrote himself, with his signature, requesting the alternative site, is clear evidence of his misconduct.

The JD(S) has criticised the CM for his alleged deceit and questioned his integrity, suggesting that his actions undermine his claim to ethical political conduct. They have accused him of betraying public trust and called for his resignation, asserting that no moral authority remains for him to continue in office.
