Karandeep Kochhar with a card of seven-under 65 is in the lead after round one of the Jeev Milkha Singh Invitational Golf Tournament 2019 at the Chandigarh Golf Course yesterday.
Three players, Himmat Singh Rai, Om Prakash Chouhan and Ajeetesh Sandhu carted six-under-66 each to be placed jointly in the second position. Sri Lanka’s Mithun Perera, Sanjeev Kumar, Viraj Madappa and M. Thangaraja carted five-under-67 and are tied in the fifth place.
Mysuru’s M.S. Yashas Chandra (JWGC) returned with a opening round score of one-under-71 and is placed 26th in the ranking. Another Mysuru lad I.L. Aalaap had a card of three-over-75 and is placed 87th after the opening round.
Defending champion S. Chikkarangappa had a bad opening round with an opening day score of one-over-73 and is placed 55th in the ranking.
