Jewellery shop burgled

Burglars, who broke open a jewellery shop in city, have decamped with 20 grams gold ornaments worth about Rs. 50,000 on Saturday night.

Burglars, who forced open the jewellery shop located on 2nd Cross, Garadikeri, Lashkar Mohalla, late on Saturday night, made good with a gold chain and a pair of ear rings, both weighing 20 grams.

The incident came to light when the owner of the shop, Somashekar, arrived at the shop yesterday morning. Somashekar, in his complaint to the Police, said that the jewellery which was stolen, was to be delivered on Sunday to a customer.

Lashkar Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
