JSS AHER gets top ranking in country among Young Universities

Mysore/Mysuru: In the recently declared Times Higher Education (THE) Young Universities Global Ranking, JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research (Jss aher), Mysuru, has stood first in the country followed by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar and IIT Indore.

As many as 40 Indian Universities have been ranked this year, against 34 ranked in 2021. As per THE, India and Turkey overtake the UK to become the most represented countries overall, with 40 institutions each. The UK shares third place with Iran (both have 37 Universities).

Among Indian Universities, Jss aher has been ranked 70 with a score of 50.01, followed by IIT Ropar and IIT Indore ranked at 81 and 86 respectively.

Last year, the IIT, Ropar, ranked first in the country in the same rankings, but was outdone by JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Mysuru, this time, stated a press release from the Registrar, Jss aher.

The Times Higher Education Young University Rankings list the world’s best Universities that are 50 years old or younger. The Universities are judged across all their core missions — teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
