JSS College of Physiotherapy holds 6th Graduation Day

Mysuru: The 6th Graduation Day of JSS College of Physiotherapy was held at Rajendra Bhavan in JSS Hospital premises  here on Saturday.

The occasion also marked the Annual Day of the College and Alumni Meet along with the bi-decennial celebrations of the College.

Inaugurating the programme, Sri Siddeshwara Swamiji of Jnanayogashrama, Vijayapura, opined that health and happiness can build a strong nation with people developing a love for the nation and among everybody in society. He said that cleanliness, health and peace are vital for humans and suggested people to make honest attempt to fulfil their aspirations.

Addressing the gathering, Punjab University Physiotherapy Professor Dr. A.G.K. Sinha advised students not to pay heed to comments of others regarding the course they have opted. He observed that there has been a growing need of Physiotherapists all over the world.

Degree certificates were presented to 19 new graduates of Physiotherapy and five post-graduates.

Best Intern Award was won by P. Anusha, Best Physiotherapy Teacher by Sandeep, Best Medical Model by Sayed Asif & Sharat and Best Administrative Staff by Renuka.

Dr. Mallar of the Department of Anatomy and Dr. Praveen Kulkarni of Department of Community Medicine bagged the Best Teaching Faculty Award.

Certificates were issued with prizes for winners of extra-curricular events. A commemorative volume ‘Ojus’ was also released on the occasion.

Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji graced the occasion. JSS Mahavidyapeetha Executive Secretary Dr. C.G. Betsurmath, College Principal Dr. Kavita Raja and others  were present.
