Mysore/Mysuru: As part of JSS India – International Initiative, JSS Medical College (JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research), Mysuru, has come forward to support education of the displaced Indian students, who were studying medical course abroad including Ukraine, Russia and China.
It may be recalled thousands of Indian students had to be evacuated from the conflict zones after Russia invaded Ukraine in February this year.
Thanks to the decision taken by Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji of Suttur Srikshetra, this support will be in the form of a bridge course as permissible by law. The students will be trained depending on which semester / year they were pursuing the course abroad.
Theory and Practical classes will be conducted and clinical observership will be provided along with skill training using skill lab and virtual case scenario.
No fee will be charged for these students, however, they should make their own arrangements for boarding and lodging. This programme is offered as purely transient academic support for students who are in distress.
Students desirous to utilise the bridge course may contact Dr. D. Sunil Kumar, Associate Professor of Community Medicine, JSS Medical College, on Mob: 91 63663-66663 or send email to: jiii@jssuni.edu.in, according to a press release from the Registrar.
